MOMS’ NIGHT OUT: A Laugh-Out-Loud Look at Moms, Dads, Kids, Love and Marriage

MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is a laugh-out-loud look at moms, dads, kids, love and marriage that hits theaters nationwide today. It features two-time Emmy Award® winner Patricia Heaton. The comedy for the whole family from directors Jon and Andrew Erwin also stars Sarah Drew (Grey’s Anatomy), Sean Astin (THE LORD OF THE RINGS) and platinum-selling country music star Trace Adkins.

In MOMS’ NIGHT OUT all Allyson (Drew) and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours — what could go wrong? MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is an endearing true-to-life family comedy that celebrates the beautiful mess called parenting.

High Praise from Secular and Catholic Media Outlets

The film already has received high praise from secular and Catholic media outlets.

“MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is funny, frisky, fast-moving and filled with first-class performances,” says Michael Medved, nationally syndicated talk radio host, SRN. “It’s also a surprisingly wise and moving film about the joys and nightmares of parenthood.”

“I alternated between snort-laughing out loud and soft, silly sobs while watching this larger than life portrait of the fun, craziness, and beauty of the vocation of motherhood,” says Lisa Hendey, founder of CatholicMom.com and author of The Handbook for Catholic Moms. “The film entertains, but also enlightens, on the true value of every mom’s work and worth. A great film for the whole family!”

“A must-see amusing and highly entertaining movie certain to capture your heart — MOMS’ NIGHT OUT underscores everyday family chaos and a Mother’s loving dedication,” says Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle, EWTN TV Host of “Everyday Blessings for Catholic Moms” and author of Catholic Mom’s Café: 5 Minute Retreats for Every Day of the Year. “Every Mom will relate and laugh until her sides ache. Dads will enjoy it too — highly recommended!”

MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is a Kevin Downes Production of an Erwin Brothers Film.  MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is directed by The Erwin Brothers, and produced by Kevin Downes in association with Four Boys Films and Pure Flix Entertainment.  MOMS’ NIGHT OUT also features David Hunt (24), Andrea Logan White (REVELATION ROAD), Robert Amaya (COURAGEOUS), Abbie Cobb (NCIS: LA), Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) and Alex Kendrick (COURAGEOUS).

Written by Andrea Nasfell and Jon Erwin, MOMS’ NIGHT OUT was filmed in Birmingham, Alabama., and is being distributed by TriStar Pictures, AFFIRM Films, and Provident Films. MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is rated PG for mild thematic elements and some action.
