The Catholic Foodie Book Launch Dinner Party in Photos

On Tuesday evening, November 18, 2014, 38 guests joined me at LOLA Restaurant in Covington to celebrate the debut of my first book, Around the Table with The Catholic Foodie: Middle Eastern Cuisine. It was an amazing night of food, faith, and friends.

Chefs Keith & Nealy Frentz prepared a  5-course Middle Eastern feast for us using recipes from my cookbook. The menu included Hummus and homemade Pita, Pickled Veggies, Falafel, Pumpkin Soup with Kale & Kafta, and Pan-fried Trout with Pistachios & Dill. For dessert, Chef Nealy prepared Spiced Plum Cake topped with homemade Cardamom Ice Cream!

I am still get calls and emails from those in attendance raving about the food! And a few folks that night asked me how often I do dinners like that. They did not realize it was the first time! I guess we should make Dining with The Catholic Foodie a regular event!

Many thanks to my friends Nina, Roxane, and Sherry for taking photos on Tuesday night and sharing them with me.
