CF49 - Institute of Jesus the Priest

We are in the Year of the Priest. And I want to share some great news with you about one priest in particular... and his new Family.

Just this past week Fr. Michael Harrington, a diocesan priest of the Archdiocese of Boston, professed the vows of Poverty, Chastity, Obedience, and Fidelity to the Pope according to the statutes of the Institute of Jesus the Priest, a branch of the Pauline Family founded by Blessed James Alberione.

Confirmation, Reverence, & FlashForward

Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond, Archbishop of New Orleans, conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on 78 young people in our parish Monday night. I had the pleasure, with the assistance of a number of adult leaders, of preparing these young men and women to receive the sacrament.

And I have to tell you that this was the most reverent, holy, and prayerful Confirmation liturgy I have ever attended. I was absolutely delighted to witness it.
